  • Russia gets it's first sanctioned cryptocurrency to track beef.

In look, someone actually did something useful with blockchain news: Mizuho completes Australia-Japan trade on a Blockchain.

The benefits doing this transaction on a Blockchain were listed as:

  • Shorter delivery time for trade documents (from days to hours).
  • Reduction of time required to create and transmit documents.
  • Increased transparency by sharing transaction details with all parties

The issues were

  • It is not possible to transmit trade transaction information in digital blockchain format to parties who do not use the platform.
  • Requires standardizing the information for blockchain at an international level
